Utopia @ Duplex Design
In the heart of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, is a district with a rich cultural scene, where you can wander among street art masterpieces, art galleries and design studios. Williamsburg is the ideal stage where Patrizio Chiarparini founded Duplex, a design gallery located in an industrial-style loft.
The ‘Utopia’ exhibition is a tribute to the revolutionary fervour of post World War II Italian design, the result of a careful selection of works from the Remasters collection.
Within this setting, Nanda Vigo’s creations find their natural home: the Due Più armchairs, presented in white and rust Mongolia fur variants, and the Storet chest of drawers with its distinctive pink colour, emerge as distinctive manifestations of creativity and innovation. The modules of Claudio Salocchi’s Free System sofa converge to create a large island in the centre of the loft, inviting an all-round immersive and playful experience. The space also features the Napoleone coffee table, also by Claudio Salocchi, and the Florian folding table by Vico Magistretti, two products that in their simplicity embody the avant-garde character of the two designers.
