Nanda Vigo @ BUONE NUOVE
First produced by MAXXI in Rome in 2021, BUONE NUOVE is a travelling exhibition that aims to highlight the contribution women have made to contemporary architecture over the past century.
Currently on display at the Centre de design at UQAM in Montreal, the exhibition brings together works and testimonies from Italian and international female architects who have revolutionised the design landscape, serving as an inspiration for new generations.
Nanda Vigo stands out in the section “L’Âge d’or du design”, dedicated to Italian female architects who, in post-war Italy, reimagined domestic spaces and furnishings with a modern and functional approach. For the occasion, Storet and Due Più have been included in the exhibition space as a manifesto of the designer’s unique and eclectic style, suspended between design, architecture, and art.
Playful and subversive in its forms, the Storet chest of drawers expresses Nanda Vigo’s innovative spirit, with a rigorous structure that contrasts with its rounded drawers.
The designer’s two creative souls are also reflected in the Due Più armchair, which combines the minimal geometry of the frame with floating, voluminous rolls, an expression of her eccentric and free-spirited personality.
Visit the exhibition until 6 April 2025.
