Through her story inside the furnace in the Venice area, Sabine Marcelis illustrates the meticulous process that leads to the creation of Lokum. The lagoon area has long been renowned for its glassblowing technique, a mastery that is reflected in this project. The allure of this precious material and the desire to challenge conventions have been key elements of the design. Behind the essential aesthetics and minimal design lies a deep innovation, characterised by the use of large, curved volumes that tested the skills of the artisans.
