Acerbis x San Patrignano
Re-educating people to life, enhancing their creative potential and searching for the beauty that each of the young people on the path brings within themselves: this is the mission of San Patrignano’s Design Lab.
Estabilished in 1978 to enable the young guests to create exclusive products with their own hands while receiving vocational training, today the Design Lab incorporates workshops of different trades: weaving, leatherwork, ironwork, wallpaper decoration and carpentry. Here, prototypes are modelled, objects are designed and the concept of customisation is revolutionised.
Precisely on the concept of customisation that the partnership between Acerbis and the San Patrignano community is expressed on the occasion of the annual charity auction to raise funds to support the community, which will take place from 17 to 26 October 2022. Among the more than 200 lots up for auction is the historic Florian coffee table by Vico Magistretti reinterpreted by the Design Lab.
Each piece is unique, as are the authors who gave it life. A challenge for the young people of the community to deal with a product of historical value and present it under a new light through the universal language of art.
The proceeds of the auction will be used to give hope to the many young guests of the community, guaranteeing them a home, health and legal assistance, and specific professional training. A path that will mark the time of their rebirth, until the moment they return to society and their families.
The auction will start on October 17th 2022 at 10:00 am.
